# Install on WordPress

Paste your snippet into WPCode's Footer box, and your agent's chat shows on every page.

## Put it on your site

1. **Copy your snippet** — In **Channels**, open **Chat widget**, press **Install** on your agent's row, then **Copy snippet**. **Where to paste** under it shows these steps when your site runs on WordPress. ![Where to paste on the Install tab, with WordPress chosen and its steps](https://hiy.ai/docs-shots/install/wordpress.webp) *Channels › Chat widget › Install*

2. **Install WPCode** — In your WordPress dashboard, add the free **WPCode** plugin (Insert Headers and Footers) and activate it. WordPress.com needs a paid plan for plugins.

3. **Open Header & Footer** — Open **Header & Footer** under **Code Snippets**.

4. **Paste in the Footer box** — Paste the snippet into the **Footer** box.

5. **Save Changes** — Press **Save Changes**. If a cache or speed plugin combines or delays scripts, leave `embed.js` out.

**Good to know:**

- Signed-in visitors need server code: see [the WordPress recipe](/docs/developers#wordpress).
- On WordPress.com, plugins need a paid plan; self-hosted WordPress needs none.
