# Web chat

Web chat puts your agent on your own website in three forms: a **Bubble** in the corner, a **Bar** along the page, or a **Support page** that is a whole help page.

## Pick a form

- [Bubble](/docs/bubble): a chat button that opens a panel. Part of Founding.
- [Bar](/docs/bar): a message box that opens into a chat, on every plan.
- [Support page](/docs/support-page): a help page with Ask, popular questions and Help, at an address like `yoursite.com/help`. Support Agents only.

Support Agents have all three, and Expert Twins the Bubble and the Bar. A Team Agent answers on [Your page on hiy.ai](/docs/your-page).

## Open a form

1. **Open Web chat** — In **Channels**, press **Settings** or **Install** on the **Web chat** tile. The menu beside it lists **Bubble**, **Bar** and **Support page**.

2. **Pick the agent** — The **Agent** menu at the top switches between your agents that have this form.

3. **Use the three tabs** — **Style**, **Install** and **Activity**.

## Who can open it, and where

Install starts with two settings that belong to the agent, so every form shares them:

- **Who can open it**, for a Support Agent: **Anyone on your sites** lets visitors on your listed websites in with no code on your server; **Signed-in users** lets in only the visitors your server signs in ([Bubble](/docs/bubble#signed-in-users)).
- **Allowed websites**: up to 20 sites that may show your agent. `yoursite.com` covers its subdomains too.

Below them are **Your snippet** and **Websites**: every site where hiy has seen this form, each with the agent that answers there.

## Move a website to another agent

Under **Websites**, press the agent under **Answered by** and pick another in **Who answers here?**. hiy checks the move first, offers to allow the site for the new agent, and moves it with no new snippet. Only an owner or admin can.

## Is it live?

**Live** means hiy has seen this form load on a website, or a visitor chat there, in the last 30 days. **Not seen lately** means it was seen before, but not since. **Needs setup** only means nobody has opened it yet. To look now, enter a page under **Check now**: hiy opens that one page and says whether your snippet is on it.

The **Activity** tab shows the form's status, its conversations this week and how many were handed over, the websites it was seen on, and any website that moved to another agent.

**Good to know:**

- Web chat is part of the new Channels layout, rolling out to workspaces in turn.
- After you change the Bubble's colour, corner, name or Light or dark, copy the snippet again: the launcher reads them from it.
- A website moved to another agent keeps working with the snippet already on it.
- Your agent's words, sources and handover are the same in every form; only the look and layout change.
