AI apps (MCP)
Connect hiy to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or Claude Code and manage your agents from a chat: read conversations and missed questions, add knowledge, test answers, and change settings with Undo.
Note
AI app access is rolling out to selected workspaces first. Until yours is on the list, Workspace › Developers shows Preview. Ask at hello@hiy.ai to be added early.
Connect an app
The server address is https://mcp.hiy.ai/mcp. It’s also under Workspace › Developers › AI apps, with a Copy button and each app’s steps.
Paste the address where your app adds a connector or MCP server. Use hiy from AI apps has the steps for Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor and VS Code.
Your app opens hiy’s sign-in. Sign in as an Owner or Admin of the workspace.
Tick the workspaces the app may use and pick Read only or Read and change. You go back to your app, connected.
For scripts and CI, send an API key instead of signing in: add --header "Authorization: Bearer <your key>" to the Claude Code command. A Read only key reaches the reading tools.
Tools
| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
get_workspace | Lists the workspaces this connection can use, and its access. |
list_agents | Lists your agents with their status and channels. |
get_agent | Shows one agent’s status, training and main settings. |
list_sources | Lists knowledge sources and which agents use them. |
list_unanswered | Lists the questions an agent couldn’t answer, most asked first. |
search_conversations | Finds conversations by agent, state, channel and date. |
get_conversation | Shows one conversation’s messages in order. |
get_insights | Gives an agent’s counts for the last 7, 14 or 30 days. |
list_change_options | Lists the settings an app can change. |
test_agent | Asks an agent a test question that customers never see. |
create_agent | Creates a draft agent from your website’s address. |
add_source | Adds a page or a text to an agent’s knowledge. |
propose_change | Prepares one settings change and shows the before and after. |
apply_change | Applies a proposed change. |
undo_change | Undoes an applied settings change. |
teach_answer | Teaches an agent the right answer to a question. |
publish_agent | Publishes a draft once you agree, through hiy’s review. |
An app never deletes anything, never touches billing, members, keys or connections, never sends a message to your customers, and never writes free text into an agent’s instructions. Each settings change is proposed first, and can be undone.
Try asking
- “Which questions did my support agent miss this week?”
- “Add https://example.com/returns to my agent’s knowledge.”
- “Change my agent’s greeting to ‘Hi! Ask me about orders and returns.’”
- “Ask my agent what our opening hours are, and show its sources.”
Plans
AI app access is on Growth and Scale, including a Growth trial and Early Access. On Free and Starter, the sign-in screen and Workspace › Developers › AI apps show See plans.
Good to know
- An app reaches only the workspaces you ticked, and the agents you own there.
- Each connection makes up to 120 reads and 30 changes a minute on Growth.
test_agentuses the Test chat’s daily test replies (50 on Growth); when they run out it stops until 00:00 UTC, never using credits.- A connection can create 10 draft agents and add 50 sources a day.
- API keys and AI apps share one count per workspace: 5 on Growth.
Privacy and Disconnect
What an app reads goes to that app’s provider, such as Anthropic for Claude. Contact emails and phone numbers are masked, also inside messages, and what a visitor wrote is marked as theirs. See the Privacy policy.
To cut an app off, open Workspace › Developers › AI apps and press Disconnect. Losing the Owner or Admin role in a workspace takes it out of your apps too.
