An agent’s Overview

The first page you see when you open an agent: a picture of how it works, the questions waiting for you, and what to do next.

The diagram#

What your agent learns from is on the left, the agent is in the middle, and what it can do and where it answers are on the right.

• Press a card to open its details beside the diagram, with every control for that part.
• Press + on a card to add something straight away, such as a web page, an action or a new place to answer.
• Press ↗ to go to that part’s own page.

While your agent is learning, the Knowledge card shows Reading, Learning and Going live. When changes are waiting, its foot says how many, with Train now.

At the top of every agent page you’ll also find Update agent (it applies waiting changes), a menu saying whether the agent is Live, Off or still a Draft, and Test, which opens a private chat with it.

Your hiy#

Switch your agent Live or Off, and copy its address, from that menu at the top. Where it shows up is under Settings › Channels.

The teach queue#

Questions your agent couldn’t answer wait above the diagram, under Needs you.

Press Answer and write what it should say: your agent uses that answer at once. Press × to dismiss a question without answering. All questions opens Unanswered for this agent, where dismissed questions can be reopened.

While your import runs#

When you add a website, the panel at the top of the Overview shows its progress, and you can close the page meanwhile:

1. Reading your pages: each page is fetched. The count is real.
2. Indexing your material: what was read is turned into answers. This usually takes longer.
3. Ready when you are: the pages are in and counted. Press Update agent to train on them. A brand new agent does this by itself.
4. In, and answering: your agent answers from the new pages.

Pages that couldn’t be read are listed with the reason, and Try them again retries just those.

Where this agent stands#

Press the agent’s card for a plain reading of where it stands, from Nothing learned yet to In good shape, with the next step as a button.

Until setup is done, a Set up line above the diagram counts the six steps that take a new agent live, with the next one as its button. It disappears once all six are done.
